# Actual PDF translation and bilingual exports

Checked 14 October 2026. One public, self-authored English PDF (one A4 page) was
uploaded again and translated into Simplified Chinese. The interface labelled
the selected translation model “免费模型” (Free model); its underlying model is
not inferred. Mode: bilingual content plus layout; context enhancement enabled,
single-page priority, no glossary, no ignore-content options selected. No image
enhancement, manual translation edit or terminology correction was performed.

The input retains its title “Project labels: a glossary demo”. It uses imaginary
component names and contains no customer information. Despite that title, this
run did not use a glossary. The earlier October 11 translation is a separate
result; these downloads belong to the new October 14 task.

Four native PDF downloads are unchanged:
- translation-only.pdf: one A4 page, about 595.28 × 841.89 pt;
- original-left.pdf: one landscape page, about 1190.55 × 841.89 pt;
- translation-left.pdf: same page size/count, opposite order;
- flow-bilingual.pdf: two A4 pages, original paragraph followed by translation.

Original and translated text compare equal between the corresponding halves of
the opposite-order PDFs. The three example values are 3 packets / 3 个数据包,
5 ms / 5 ms, and 1 approval / 1 次批准. The table keeps Orion Buffer, Harbor Window
and Review Gate in English; prose partly translates the first two. Naming
consistency and sentence meaning still require review. Matching counts or layout
does not establish translation accuracy.

In the two-page flow PDF, section 3 starts at the bottom of page 1 and its body
continues on page 2. The source footer still says page 1 of 1 there, while the
new output page number is 2. Reflow changes pagination, typography and table
appearance. The PDF remains fixed-page; this is not a responsive ebook.

Screenshots show actual product controls. PDF images were locally rendered from
the actual downloads with PDFium, not redrawn or edited. This simple digital
sample does not test scans, formulas, image translation, original bookmarks,
physical printing or multipage synchronized scrolling. The reader’s split view
and export layout are separate choices.

The original Word/preserved-layout/translated-only/image-enhancement-off export
selection was restored with one additional Word export and reopened verification.
The PDF selector was returned to the initial continuous-reading choice first.
That Word output is not included as evidence for these PDF modes. Translation
preferences were not changed from their initial values.

This comparison ZIP is assembled locally. It contains the unchanged source and
four actual PDF downloads plus these notes and measured checks. It is not a
single native product export. Current account access, quota and costs apply.
