# PDF to LaTeX: native export and local compiler checks

Date: 2026-10-14.
The input is the existing self-authored two-page English motion-notes PDF, freshly uploaded to Doc2X for this check. No customer document is included.

english-latex-native.zip is the unchanged native download. It contains motion-latex-source.tex and images/1_279_471_1061_604_0.jpg. The separate english-latex-source.tex copy preserves the original TEX bytes, but its filename is renamed for public download. Use the native ZIP to retain the original directory layout.

The complete unchanged project compiled locally with XeLaTeX / TeX Live2023 into two pages. -no-shell-escape -interaction=nonstopmode -halt-on-error were used. TEXINPUTS was set to .: for these compiler child processes because the inherited setting omitted the current project directory. No system setting or exported source was changed.

Controls on isolated local copies:
1. Complete files with XeLaTeX: exit0,2pages.
2. Same files with pdfLaTeX: exit1,fontspec requires XeTeX or LuaTeX.
3. Same TEX with image missing: exit1,unable to load picture,no PDF output.
4. Restore original JPG without editing TEX: exit0,2pages,compiled text matches complete case.

The embedded JPEG stream in the compiled PDF matches the ZIP image byte-for-byte. The native TEX and JPG also match the earlier 2026-10-11 sample bytes, despite the new ZIP name.

Observed content limitation: “Distance s (m) | Constant-speed model: s = 3t” above the source chart is absent from both the exported image and TEX body. Chart points, horizontal-axis label and caption remain. Typography, table borders and pagination change; font substitution and geometry warnings remain. Compilation does not prove semantic fidelity.

The original PDF, native ZIP and separate TEX are actual input/output evidence. english-latex-compiled.pdf and PNG previews were generated locally, not by Overleaf. This package is assembled locally; it contains no font or compiler distribution.

Overleaf cloud upload/compilation was not performed. The guide cites the official New project → Existing project (.zip) instructions, main-document/compiler checks and missing-image troubleshooting.
